My Response to a Post from a Local Pastor
This is a post from a local pastor a day after the Charlie Kirk memorial service.
“I watched about 25% of the 5 hr Turning Point/Charlie Kirk memorial yesterday and I’m troubled over much of what I witnessed. I’m not minimizing the moments when the gospel of Jesus was clearly proclaimed and those that made a decision for Christ. But God forbid if that makes us ignore the blending of the good news with unbiblical beliefs and cultural worldviews. That kind of mixing doesn’t strengthen our witness, it dilutes and distorts it.
There’s a difference between healthy patriotism and the rising tide of nationalism. Patriotism is a love that inspires us to serve, sacrifice, and seek the common good. But nationalism is something else — it takes the love of country and fuses it with the love of God until the two are indistinguishable. When that happens, the Kingdom of God is eclipsed by the empires and ideologies of man.
Whenever the people of God have blended His Kingdom with the kingdoms of this world, history shows that it didn’t lead us to revival but to ruin. The gospel is not preserved by compromise with power — it’s always been corrupted by it.”
My answer to this post:

What does this pastor mean by unbiblical beliefs and cultural world views?
What does this pastor mean by unbiblical beliefs and cultural world views? Where are your examples and evidence? Are we supposed to guess? First of all, is your view against Nationalism the common garbage that the Democrats spew: Trump is a fascist; Conservatives are NAZIS; Any law or policy of the current administration is no good; Trump is Hitler; Illegal immigrants are above the law; Looting in California is justified; Senator Corey Booker, the hater of our state, yells and embarrassed the Senate by confronting the FBI Director Kash Patel on his unproved assault and lies about the job he is doing ONLY because he is loyal to Donald Trump; Charlie Kirk is a fascist, NAZI, ignorant, uneducated, evil person as stated by an evil person, AOC even before Kirk had a funeral?
I am sure tired of my Christian beliefs falsely labeled all of these things.
How were unbiblical beliefs propagated by the memorial service speakers?
Where are your examples. Your post is propaganda. This is nationalism at its worst. Speaking partial truths. Do you live by the notion that President Trump has in his mind to upend the United States into a NAZI nation like the present Democrat, MSNBC and CNN narratives and the narratives of some churches. You watched 25% of something and made a calculation of speculation on a man, his wife, his great work of challenging young adults who are propagandized by colleges, and a political administration that you obviously have a problem with. Where has the Trump administration been NAZIFIED? Where?
You are writing here of Factionalism not Nationalism. National, a nation with boundaries and borders. An ism: a belief. How is nationalism bad.
Read Federalist Paper#10 by James Madison who wrote in favor of Nationalism concerning the Constitution: “The latent causes of faction are thus sown in the nature of man; and we see them everywhere brought into different degrees of activity, according to the different circumstances of civil society. A zeal for different opinions concerning religion, concerning government, and many other points, as well of speculation as of practice; an attachment to different leaders ambitiously contending for pre-eminence and power; or to persons of other descriptions whose fortunes have been interesting to the human passions, have, in turn, divided mankind into parties, inflamed them with mutual animosity, and rendered them much more disposed to vex and oppress each other than to co-operate for their common good. So strong is this propensity of mankind to fall into mutual animosities, that where no substantial occasion presents itself, the most frivolous and fanciful distinctions have been sufficient to kindle their unfriendly passions and excite their most violent conflicts.
This is why we have two parties in the United States. However, which party or faction is the insidious violent one? Name one violent thing this current administration has done? Even a Democrat NJ representative assaulted an ICE agent.
Everyone of them, especially, Rubio, Gabbard, Hegseth, VP Vance, Susie Wiles, and Mrs. Kirk. preached Christ purely. How could you have missed this part, when the Christian wife of a politically assassinated husband, forgave the transgender loving man who took a bright, intelligent, mannerly, Christian away, while he was practicing the sacred right from his First Amendment including speech, his Christianity, assembly, and his petitioning young people to have a change of heart against the uncommon sense doctrines driven by liberal progressives in this country. Did you ever notice that many issues Leftists proclaim are not common sense! Man and woman, marriage, education, anti-white DEI, sex changes, gender unrestricted bathrooms, breaking laws etc….No Christian can support this. Period.
Biblical beliefs and Nationalism, practiced by the United States, have brought much good to the nation and the world through its Christian principles. National means a nation with borders and a government. An ism is a belief; thus nationalism is belief in one’s country. I agree with you that there are times when the mix was impure. I know there were detrimental mistakes in our History. What nation run by man is without them? Look at Israel in the Old Testament. It is all sin. What was done to Native Americans, African Americans and women was sin. However, the “factions” today want to propagate blame and seething hatred toward all whites blaming all detached generations for slavery. Why? Did Jesus do this? You know the passages.
If we had no Nationalism coupled with biblical beliefs then why do we have a nation born out of revolution? Why were many founding fathers Nationalist and Christians? Why were there so many churches in colonial America that spread the word of Christ and liberty? Why did the Union mix Nationalism with Christian Abolition to end slavery and overcome the Confederacy? Why did God raise President Lincoln who claimed no Christian Church, but spoke the words of the Divine God and called slavery a scourge to the nation? Why was Christian Nationalism successful in smashing the powers of the NAZIS, the emperor worshipping Japanese, and all the evils of World War II? Our country has done more because of Christian nationalism than any in the world. But in the back of many brainwashed people are two things. Charlottesville and Charleston. Somehow many people associate those two racial attacks with all Republicans and oh how the news media lied and lied and lied. Republicans racist. What a shame.
The Democrat faction today is a danger to this country. Look at all the violence perpetrated in the last ten years: Riots and killings in cities in the summer of 2020, two assassination attempts on a President of the United States, Tesla dealers fire bombed, violent protests on college campuses where buildings are seized, violent Middle Easterners preaching hate and terrorism on the United States, the killing of numerous young girls by illegal aliens, violence against ICE for enforcing laws, a violent uprising against the White House, a historic church in Washington D.C.burned, riots during Trump’s first inaugural, hate speech practiced by the “Squad,” hate speech practiced by late night hosts, hate speech against Trump every day, and the list goes on….
Why don’t you rile against these sins. You desecrated the Christian biblical beliefs of all of those Christian men and woman who spoke their hearts yesterday and caused revival across the nation, and you feel a NEED to get responses on Facebook against these Christians without evidence. This is not a personal attack on you.
Did you ever read Paul and how he spoke against factions? Diverse but not divided? This post is dividing the Christian Body. I Corinthians 1 says, “10 Christian brothers, I ask you with all my heart in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to agree among yourselves. Do not be divided into little groups. Think and act as if you all had the same mind. 11 My Christian brothers, I have heard from some of Chloe’s family that you are arguing among yourselves. 12 I hear that some of you are saying, “I am a follower of Paul,” and “I am a follower of Apollos,” and “I am a follower of Peter,” and “I am a follower of Christ.” 13 Has Christ been divided? Was Paul put on a cross to die for your sins? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I am thankful to God that I baptized Crispus and Gaius only. 15 No one can say that you were baptized in the name of Paul. This is what real Nationalism looks like in a nation.
The Church in the United States has been factionalized. Look at all the denominations and independent churches, about 200. Will God judge this division and personal agenda setting?
Presidential Advisor Stephen Miller said it eloquently about the faction of most Democrats today: “ What do you have? You have nothing. You are nothing. You are wickedness, you are jealousy! You are envy! You are hatred! You are nothing! You can build nothing. You can produce nothing. You can create nothing.” The truth must hurt some times.
The only thing liberal progressives do is disrupt legitimate government and if you as a Democrat and a Christian do not speak out against these actions shame on you. There is no plan, no mutual leader. Look at what Biden did to this country by letting agenda driven staffers and his son make national federal decisions and wasted tax money on a huge scale. Our majority elected government is prevented from governing. That in itself should be a cause for concern for all Americans.
Charlie Kirk is a great loss to this nation. And so was Benjamin Franklin who said upon exiting the Constitutional Convention in 1787, was asked by a woman, Elizabeth Willing Powel, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" Franklin's famous and cautionary reply was: "A republic, if you can keep it".
Believers become confused by religion, churches, and the factions that Paul spoke of. People always divide into competing groups, which destroys the point of the Christian family, where we are all equal in Christ. This doctrine is above the understanding of most because pastors don't know or teach it. Religion is not Christianity.
Our country was founded on the principles of the Old and New Testaments, ones that guarantee the stability of family, community, and a nation, which leads to security. This is a time of great spiritual warfare. So many have turned away from the foundations of spiritual beliefs and from God. Until enough believe and follow His Plan, there will continue to be Divine punishment on us as individuals and a nation. God designed nations for the stability and security of the world; Biblical principles are involved, but a nation shouldn't dictate religious preferences to its citizens. That is the separation of church and state. It's so simple but so misunderstood.
